DESCRIPTION

The artwork depicts the iconic Fiat 500, famous in the 1950s, with a woman driving the red car while a man sits beside her. The lines of the car, as well as those of the main subjects, are defined by the artist's typical lines.

A characteristic element of Marco Lodola's works is that the subjects, in this case the car, are always depicted in motion. Hence Marco Lodola's intention to capture the movement of his protagonists within his works.

Artist

Marco Lodola took his first steps into the art scene in the 1960s when he created works featuring figures from the music world. Pop artists such as Tom Wesselman and David Hockney were particularly inspiring during these early times.

Throughout his long artistic career, Marco Lodola has collaborated with important musicians, such as Max Pezzali and Jovanotti, as well as with the world of cinema and television, creating set designs.
