MEANING OF THE WORK
Balloon Girl it is a work on paper by Mr. Brainwash which is inspired by the work of the same name by Bansky . Mr. Brainwash, however, breaks away from the model by inserting a multitude of colours in the background, citations of other works by Street Art and references to the Popular Culture .
The little girl, made with the stencil technique, is the protagonist of the work and is depicted in profile while trying to grab a red heart-shaped balloon. However, as in Bansky's work "Balloon Girl" , flies away and she will never be able to catch it. The work symbolizes the innocence typical of childhood that slips away, but at the same time the red of the heart is also a message of love and hope.

Mr Brainwash, real name Thierry Guetta, was born in France and moved with his family to Los Angeles at the age of 15. He is one of the most famous street artists in the world.
Mr. Brainwash enters the world of street art through his great interest in the camera, in fact since childhood he had developed a great passion for videos.
Thanks to this attitude, he begins to film his cousin Invader, and thanks to the latter he finds himself filming all the most famous street art in the world, including Banksy!
