DESCRIPTION
Arnaud Nazare-Aga's sculptures aim to bring happiness to those who view them. The choice of subjects, shapes, colors, and materials are designed to create harmony between the viewer and the work.
The Sumo collection, one of the artist's most popular, consists of three sculptures, each reminiscent of a stance adopted by fighters. In this case, the sumo wrestler is depicted in the Shiko position, the fighting stance with his leg raised in preparation for a kick. The work is made of fiberglass, marble dust, and resin, entirely hand-painted and lacquered on the outside.
The XS size, measuring 16x13x9.5 cm, is ideal for enhancing any small space. Despite their small size, these Sumos convey a solid presence. The work is numbered and originally signed by the artist.

Artist
Arnaud Nazare-Aga was born in 1965 in Paris into a Tibetan Buddhist community in Burgundy. His origins, marked by a strong religious attachment, led him to undertake numerous projects to decorate Buddhist temples in France, such as the Temple of a Thousand Buddhas in Autun. His skill and talent as a carpenter led him to create three monumental Buddha sculptures within temples, in collaboration with Bhutan artists.
After numerous professional experiences both in Europe and Asia, Arnaud Nazare-Aga moved to Bangkok, where he founded his studio, PAJ'Art.
Arnaud Nazare-Aga's works have been featured in several international fairs and galleries, both in Asia and Europe. Among the most notable are Art Stage Singapore, AAF Milano (Affordable Art Fair), and the Venice Biennale, where he presented a 4-meter-tall Sumo Totem, now located in Brescia.
