MEANING OF THE WORK
Vespa in Love by Mark Lodola It is a limited edition silkscreen of 100 copies from 2024.
Made on the occasion of Saint Valentine 2024, Vespa in Love depicts two lovers sitting on the Wasp while on a journey, while holding some balloons shaped heart , which stand out in the work thanks to the metallic effect.
The work is configured as a tribute to love and to those who experience it: the artist has intentionally highlighted all its nuances, immortalizing it forever.
INTRODUCTION TO THE ARTIST
Marco Lodola was born in Dorno, in the province of Pavia, on April 4, 1955. He immediately dedicated himself to art, deciding to undertake studies focused on this subject. The artist studied first at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and then at the Academy of Milan, to then become an artist known throughout the world not only for his unmistakable style, but also for his subjects, which are also easily recognizable.
During his long artistic career, Marco Lodola collaborates with important musicians, such as Max Pezzali and Jovanotti, as well as with the world of cinema and television, creating scenography. In addition, he is considered one of the founders of the artistic movement called New Futurism.
