MEANING OF THE WORK
The work of Mr. Brainwash, Balloon Heart - Chrome Pink It is a polished and painted bronze sculpture on a marble base.
The subject of this work is a heart-shaped balloon, cared for in every detail. The bronze it is made of is worked in every detail, as evident from the folds and imperfections that imitate those of a real balloon and the shiny and reflective pink of the work stands out on the more classic white marble base.
The heart-shaped balloon is a reference to Bansky's work Balloon Girl . The English street artist has always been a point of reference for Mr. Brainwash , who often cites it in his works. Mr Brainwash, real name Thierry Guetta, was born in France and moved with his family to Los Angeles at the age of 15. He is one of the most famous street artists in the world.
Mr. Brainwash enters the world of street art through his great interest in the camera, in fact since childhood he had developed a great passion for videos.
Thanks to this attitude, he begins to film his cousin Invader, and thanks to the latter he finds himself filming all the most famous street art in the world, including Banksy! Mr. Brainwash's works are characterized by the use of bright and brilliant colors, in full Pop Art style, and by the constant popular.
