INTRODUCTION TO THE ARTIST
Eclectic and versatile artist David Krakov was born in 1968 in Boston. At the age of 12, after winning first place in an art competition, he became one of the youngest artists ever to have his work exhibited at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts .
Complete your studies at Rhode Island School of Design and moved to Los Angeles and began his career in animation.
His sculpture is born from the characters he animates: Kracov thus represents clay the iconic ones Looney Tunes achieving great success that will lead him to continue this career. From clay he moves on to works in metal and in steel , materials which are then finished with careful and lively colours.
His sculptures were thus enormously successful, so much so that they became part of the collections of several Hollywood stars, including Steven Spielberg , Kirk Douglas , Matt Damon , Whoopi Goldberg and many others. We particularly remember the artist's collaboration with the Douglas family, for whom he created the iconic Kirk Douglas The Book of Life , delivered to him personally by his son Michael
